HISTORY

Trusted, respected, innovative, quality, leadership ... all describe Modcomp and the company's commitment to being recognized as a visionary company with continued revolutionary technological advances being made into the twenty-first century.

As Modcomp looks at the industries it serves and asks how can its customers do more, better, faster -- new concepts are created -- from new technology ideas through solution development and systems integration -- Modcomp is the idea integration company.

In 1986, Modcomp was acquired by AEG Daimler-Benz Industrie (AEG), a member of the Daimler-Benz Group. AEG, a Frankfurt, Germany-based company makes high technology products for almost every major industry. Daimler-Benz is known not only for its superior quality Mercedes-Benz automobiles, but also for new technologies in fields ranging from space to communications. As a member of such a formidable worldwide organization, Modcomp was firmly committed to the research and development of innovative technologies that provide real-time computing solutions for the 1990s and beyond.

In April of 1996, The Cerplex Group, Inc. purchased Modcomp enhancing the service markets for both Modcomp and Cerplex.

In August of 1997, Modcomp became a wholly owned subsidiary of CSP Inc. The availability of CSPI's new digital signal processing technology accelerates Modcomp's growth into new markets. Modcomp's worldwide distribution channel and extensive integration services helps CSPI further penetrate the worldwide market for high-performance computing solutions.

In June of 2003, CSPI acquired Technisource Hardware, Inc. and created Modcomp Systems & Solutions Division, expanding the breadth of Modcomp's reseller relationships and customer base, while augmenting the professional services and integration capabilities that the new division brought with it.

Modcomp is a member of the American Electronics Association.
