Business
users of the Internet are providing employee access and
setting up their own Web sites. EMail, File Transfer and
Web publishing are common activities for the enlightened
corporate user. To exploit the full power of the Web, businesses
must consider the use of interactive business transactions
- i.e. electronic commerce. To be successful this must be
implemented using the latest web technology integrated within
an existing corporate IT infrastructure. This paper discusses
the major IT concerns and their possible solutions in a
straightforward, non-technical way. It is designed to be
used as a discussion document for business managers when
considering their web strategy.
