MODCOMP
Provides Browser-Based GUI for AudaManager Bodyshop Management System
ViewMax®
Supports Real-Time Tracking of Vehicle Repairs Over the Internet
February
16, 2001, Ft. Lauderdale, FL - MODCOMP® Limited, a subsidiary of CSP
Inc. (NASDAQ: CSPI) and a leading developer of E-commerce and M-business
solutions, today announced that its ViewMax integration server software
has been chosen to provide an intuitive, browser-based graphical user
interface for AudaManager, the leading vehicle repair workshop management
system from Audatex (UK) Limited.
AudaManager
is an advanced Bodyshop Management System (BMS) which provides full
process control and administration management to improve the profitability
of vehicle repair workshops. The system manages all aspects of the business
including real time employee tracking, full parts control, statistical
and financial analysis, courtesy car management and every other aspect
involved in running a modern bodyshop. AudaManager links to the AudaWorkstation
estimating system and carries a record of every job and the time allocated
to each stage of the repair.
With the
rapid acceptance of the Internet, the enhancement of AudaManager with
a GUI front-end web capability was a key requirement; improving the
usability of the system and enabling clients to track the progress of
their vehicles through the repair process via the web. MODCOMP's ViewMax
integration server was selected as the integration tool. This decision
was based not only on robustness, scalability and rapid development
capability of ViewMax but also on its ability to handle emerging mobile
distribution channels.
Brian Miller
- Managing Director of MODCOMP Ltd added: "ViewMax integration software
will enable the user interface of any application to be enhanced to
provide an intuitive, user friendly, browser-style GUI. In the case
of AudaManager, this allowed text-based screens to be modernised and
paved the way for new applications such as vehicle tracking over the
Internet. We are delighted to be associated with the success of AudaManager
in the UK market."
ViewMax
is an application integration software solution that web enables applications
residing on IBM, ICL, DEC, HP and UNIX host systems, As a server based
solution ViewMax does not require any modification to existing host
application code and there is no risk of interruption to existing business
processes. ViewMax runs on Windows NT, Windows 2000 and industry leading
