Information
November
20, 2000, Ft. Lauderdale, FL - MODCOMP®, Inc. (www.modcomp.com),
a subsidiary of CSP Inc. (NASDAQ: CSPI) and a leading developer
of E-commerce and M-business solutions, today announced that Cornell
University will implement MODCOMP's ViewMax Web-to-Host solution
to offer its purchasing department access to the school's mainframe
system via the Web.
Cornell
will use ViewMax to establish Web access to the university computer
server where purchasing information is stored. The Cornell administration
will implement a Web front-end to their purchasing and accounts
payable legacy system, thereby extending the life of their existing
mainframe systems. By using MODCOMP's ViewMax, Cornell will have
a graphical Web-based interface providing controlled, secure access
to information.
"Our
integration technology allows university employees to access secure
information at any time and from anywhere," said Rob Crigler, vice
president marketing, MODCOMP E-commerce Division. "We look forward
to helping Cornell develop their Web-based information resource
that will benefit all university employees."
MODCOMP
consultants will work with Cornell IT staff to develop a custom-made
visual mapping display for the IBM mainframe.
Cornell
expects to have the system fully integrated and operational by early
next year.
