Zero Mountain to Provide Free Client Access to Inventory, Shipping Reports Using MODCOMP E-Business Solution

Arkansas-based Cold Storage Company to Improve Customer Service, Reduce Training Costs

July 17, 2000, Ft. Lauderdale, FL — MODCOMP®, Inc. (www.modcomp.com), a subsidiary of CSP Inc. (NASDAQ: CSPI) and a leading developer of e-commerce and m-business solutions, today announced that Zero Mountain Inc. (www.zeromtn.com) has selected MODCOMP's ViewMax® integration software to provide its clients with free Internet access to inventory and shipping reports. The Arkansas-based cold storage warehouse company will be first among its competitors to offer a 24/7 self-service system without charging an access fee.

Among the many business benefits expected from this e-business solution are increased customer satisfaction and cost savings as services are moved from expensive telephone lines and systems to the much more communication cost-efficient Internet service.

"We are giving our clients secure and instant Internet access to time-critical inventory and shipping data that they need," said Andy Sudigala, MIS director, Zero Mountain Inc. "By making this a self-service process, our customer service department immediately becomes more efficient, and they will be able to provide a higher level of support to the clients that do call because the Internet will automatically handle routine inquiries."

Like many click and mortar companies moving toward e-business, Zero Mountain realized the value of integrating its existing legacy systems to the Internet. MODCOMP's ViewMax solution will integrate Zero Mountain's inventory and reporting software applications, which reside on a DEC Alpha and run on Windows NT.

"An established company like Zero Mountain needs a quick solution to keep pace with today's expectations for instant information access," said Rob Crigler, vice president of sales and marketing, MODCOMP's e-commerce Division. "Our technology will give them a true competitive advantage."
