CSP's Modcomp Subsidiary Achieves Cisco Powered Designation for Managed Unified Communications & Managed Security Services

Billerica, Mass - May 8, 2009 CSP, Inc. announced today its Modcomp subsidiary has achieved a Cisco Powered designation for Managed Business (Unified) Communication, Firewall and IDS/IPS, by establishing the resources and procedures to deploy, manage and support Cisco Powered Unified Communications & Security services.

"We are delighted to work with Cisco to achieve a Cisco Powered designation and become a member of Cisco's Managed Services Channel Program, which will allow us to work with Cisco and our customers on a global basis" said CSP Chairman, CEO and President Alexander Lupinetti. Our relationship with Cisco enables us to continue to grow and scale our Managed Services business in a repeatable and predictable fashion worldwide, allowing better and more consistent results for our customers."

A Cisco Powered designation recognizes a solution provider's investment in the tools and processes necessary to provide high-quality network-based managed services. It not only acknowledges that the managed service provider has invested in industry-leading Cisco solutions, but also entitles the solution provider to take advantage of Cisco resources to envision, build, market and sell its managed services, contributing to market acceptance and adoption.

"The market is moving toward the broad adoption of managed services as companies are shifting from managing their own IT infrastructure to buying technology as a service," said Edison Peres, senior vice president of the worldwide channels go-to-market group at Cisco. "By achieving Cisco Powered designations, Modcomp has made an investment in obtaining the training, skills and knowledge necessary to play a pivotal role in meeting this increasing demand for its customers on a global basis."

In addition, participation in the Cisco Managed Services Channel Program indicates that Modcomp's Cisco Powered services have undergone a rigorous third-party assessment and have met requirements based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library® (ITIL) framework of best practices and market and industry requirements.
