Storage Engineer

We are looking for a technology oriented engineer to install and support SANs for large scale data intensive environments. The successful candidate will be working for a team oriented, fast paced and innovative Value Added Reseller/Systems Integrator as a pre-sales/post-sales engineer.

• Provide Pre-Sales support for Account Managers in developing solutions for customers. Assist in developing quotes/Bill of Materials, Proposals and Statements of Work.
• Design, administer and support storage solutions, including Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Networks (SAN), and enterprise disk subsystems.
• Provide direct technical support for the planning, coordination, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to storage systems and the range of products and productivity tools that support the testing and production of those storage systems.
• Ensure stable performance for storage environments through performance monitoring and tuning.
• Perform operational support, ticketing, etc.

Required Experience and Skills

• VAR or Manufacturer Pre-Sales experience a plus.
• 4+ years of relevant storage experience with EMC and NetApp.
• Experience analyzing infrastructure environments and designing solutions.
• Storage Performance testing, support, and design.
• Experience with replication between data centers.
• Understanding of Virtualization technologies.
• EMC and NetApp certification.
• Experience with SAN fabrics.
• Understanding of Data Archiving and Data lifecycle management including disk based backups.
• Solid understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts, including the principles of network routing and client/server programming.
• Highly motivated, energetic, thorough, detail-oriented, with ability to multi-task effectively.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to set and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
