January 14, 1997, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida - MODCOMP, a leading worldwide supplier of high-performance real-time computer systems, today announced it was recently awarded the ISO 9001 Quality System Certification. This assures that MODCOMP products produced at its Ft. Lauderdale headquarters, are designed, developed, manufactured, installed, serviced and repaired in accordance with a documented system that meets the rigorous requirements of ISO 9001.

John P. Clary, President and CEO of MODCOMP commented, "We are pleased to have achieved the ISO 9001 international quality standard. This certification reflects our high standards in the manufacturing process and reaffirms our commitment to provide quality products to our customers. Achieving this status will increase our global presence and bring new opportunities for us to approach companies that require such certification."

Certification required the participation of all employees at all levels of the company. MODCOMP passed the ISO 9001 assessment on the first audit, performed by their Registrar, TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc.

MODCOMP officials attribute their success in achieving ISO 9001 certification so quickly, to the organization's commitment to high quality standards. MODCOMP began to develop a formalized standards program in the 1970's to fulfill stringent customer requirements. During the 1980's, MODCOMP instituted a quality control program and became certified with a nationally recognized Total Quality Management Program.
