January
10, 2000, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida -- MODCOMP Inc.,
a subsidiary of CSP Inc. (NASDAQ:CSPI), announced
the award of a contract with UCAR International to
upgrade their industrial process control computer
system at their graphite specialties manufacturing

and control temperature and pressure of gas fired
baking furnaces used in the manufacturing process.

architectures," stated Ron Cook, Vice President of
Technology Operations for MODCOMP, Inc. "The modular
software architecture of ScadaBase, coupled with commercially
available hardware running Linux, provides an unparalleled
platform for system expansion, scalability, and interoperability
