organization provides total support for installation, ongoing preventive
and remedial maintenance, training, full site management, and extensive

MODCOMP corporate headquarters is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida,
where North American and worldwide service activities are administered.
Services offered at corporate headquarters include Dispatch, Logistics,
Customer and Employee Training, and Technical Support.
Service Offerings
CENTRAL DISPATCH is the nerve center for most service activities.
It provides reliable, uninterrupted customer call and customer engineer
dispatch functions on a twenty-four hour, seven day per week basis.
All service requests, parts orders, and customer engineer status are
logged into a sophisticated computer database, Field Activity Tracking
System (FACTS). This central database can be queried, locally or remotely,
for the up-to-date status of any field activity. Our customer base,
currently over 400 locations nationally, finds it convenient to call
one toll-free telephone number whenever in need of unscheduled service,
or to contact a customer engineer.
The LOGISTICS STAFF, located in Fort Lauderdale, is available twenty-four
hours a day, seven days per week to ship emergency orders. The movement
and status of these parts orders are tracked through the FACTS database.
A complete SPARE PARTS inventory is maintained by MODCOMP in Fort
Lauderdale. Additionally, critical parts are stocked at the local
service centers. Faulty assemblies (FRUs) are returned to headquarters
for repair, refurbishment, and restocking; or scrapped if their condition
warrants this action.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT consists of a staff of highly qualified hardware
and software professionals located at headquarters and regional centers.
They are equipped to handle problem situations using high-tech remote
analysis and diagnostics. They maintain close contact with MODCOMP's
Research and Development (R&D) department and are authorized to
enlist R&D's assistance when necessary.
Outside VENDOR SUPPORT has long been a part of MODCOMP's servicing
strategy. MODCOMP has established a strong and varied network of suppliers
who can provide MODCOMP with the parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies
necessary to build and service computer systems for a wide range of
applications. When a new, unfulfilled need arises, MODCOMP's experience
at cultivating sources for materials or skills is an important asset.
