MODCOMP Adds Interface Systems Inc. Legacy-to-Internet (L21™) to Its E-Business and Legacy Conversion Capabilities

July 10, 2000, Ft. Lauderdale, FL - MODCOMP®, Inc. (www.modcomp.com), a subsidiary of CSP Inc. (NASDAQ: CSPI) and a leading developer of E-commerce solutions, today announced that MODCOMP will add Interface Systems' L2i technology to its E-business and M-business solutions and services.

Both companies specialize in solutions that link legacy data to the Web for E-business and have each recently announced wireless access protocol (WAP) support for these solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, MODCOMP will sell the L2i technology to both its existing and new client base.

MODCOMP and Interface expect the alliance to help address the growing demand for legacy-to-Internet solutions and services in the financial services industry, which relies heavily on legacy-based back office data.

"Interface has built a great reputation in the financial services sector and we are looking forward to introducing the L2i technology to our own sales channels," said Rob Crigler, vice president E-business sales and marketing, MODCOMP E-commerce Division. "In addition, our independent WAP capabilities have put us on the same wavelength when pursuing new business."

According to Crigler, MODCOMP is extending its e-services strategy by using its ViewMax® integration software as the foundation to provide rapid deployment of mobile applications to access enterprise systems. Interface Systems also has recently added wireless access protocol (WAP) support to its legacy-to-Internet (L2I) technology platform to enable its customers to access key financial information in a mobile environment.

"MODCOMP's expertise in the transactional legacy access arena complements Interface's L2i technology," said Robert Granger, vice president of Interface's Internet Applications Group. "For firms wanting to transfer their years of experience and technology to the Web, the MODCOMP-Interface combination is an excellent solution."
